About Monica Holloway:
Monica Holloway is the critically acclaimed author of the memoirs, "Cowboy and Wills" and "Driving With Dead People," described by Newsweek as “unforgettable,” Glamour christened “a classic,” and the Washington Post deemed “irresistible.” She contributed to the anthology Mommy Wars, from which her essay “Red Boots and Cole Haans” was described by Newsday as “brilliant, grimly hilarious.”


 

About Heather Havrilesky:
Heather Havrilesky is the author of the memoir "Disaster Preparedness" (Riverhead, 2011) which was praised for its "humane sagacity" in Publishers Weekly and its "uniquely endearing voice -- always witty, often self-deprecating" in the Paris Review.  She is a regular contributor to the NY Times Magazine, was Salon.com's TV critic, and co-created the popular cartoon "Filler" for suck.com. Her writing has appeared in the LA Times, the NY Times, Bookforum, Spin, The Awl, New York Magazine, NPR's "All Things Considered," among others.

     


 

About Meghan Daum:
Meghan Daum has been an opinion columnist at The Los Angeles Times since 2005. Her latest book, "Life Would Be Perfect I Lived In That House," was published by Knopf in 2010 and is now out in paperback. She is also the author of the essay collection "My Misspent Youth," the novel "The Quality of Life Report," and her essays and articles have appeared in numerous magazines, including The New Yorker, Harper's, and Vogue.

About Brandon Econ:
You probably haven’t seen Brandon Econ, but if you’ve ever gone to the movies and watched a Fandango commercial, you’ve heard his voice. Brandon is a founding member of the improv and sketch group “The Cabinet.” He's performed at Upright Citizens' Brigade, IO West, The Groundlings, Crashbar, TNT, and the Comedy Lab to name a few. He's now working on a series of animated shorts for Adult Swim on The Cartoon Network.

     
 

About Marissa Engel:
Marissa Engel has worked in film development for companies such as Pfeffer Films, Carsey Werner, and Bigfoot Entertainment.  She is currently a freelance writer and teaches creative writing to incarcerated, and sometimes pregnant, teens.

     
 

About Chris Farah:
Chris Farah loves to write and perform sketch, improv, and

musical theatre. She frequently can be seen doing the Quick

and Funny Musicals at Upright Citizens' Brigade, working with Cornerstone Theatre Company, the show Mortified in LA and NYC, or the improv telenovela web-series Stallions de Amor.

     
 

About Greg David Jones:
Greg David Jones is an improviser and comedian. He has been doing improv and sketch for several years including

performances at TheatreSports, Groundlings, Second City, and Upright Citizens Brigade. Greg has also appeared in The Man Show and several commercials.

     
 

About Clay Larsen:
Clay Larsen has improvised, written, and performed at

Upright Citizens Brigade since 2005. He was a founding

member of the improv troupe Second Nature and helped

create Fracas, the first national collegiate improv festival.

Clay has performed or written for Harold Night, Cagematch,

The Quick and Dirty Musicals, Comedy Death Ray, and Sketch

Cram, among others.

     
 

About Alexandra Lyon:
Alexandra Lydon has performed in theatre, TV, and film for over ten years. She co-created and performed in the comedy show Worst Laid Plans at the Upright Citizens Brigade in NYC and LA. She adapted the show into a book, “Worst Laid Plans: When Bad  Sex Happens to Good People” (Abrams Image) and comedy album “Worst Laid Plans at the UCB” (Random House). Some of her acting credits include Lie to Me, House, Desperate Housewives, NCIS, Star Trek Enterprise, CSI, with previous recurring roles on CSI MIAMI, Prison Break and 24.

     
 

About Ersilia Pompilio:
Ersilia Pompilio is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a writer.  She published a short story: “Our Little Hospital Ghost,” (SCRUBS.com, October 2010) and will be appearing in a nursing documentary in 2012 for SCRUBS.com.

     
 

About Alessandra Rizzotti:
Alessandra Rizzotti is a contributing writer for Hellogiggles.com and works at Family Guy. Her writing has

appeared in Smith, Heeb, and Neave magazines and her

video art has been featured in the Baltic Contemporary Art

Museum, as well as Miranda July's "Learning to Love You

More" show in the UK.

     
 

About Marissa Strickland:
Marissa Strickland is a writer and performer. She has studied at Upright Citizens Brigade, iO West, and The Groundlings. She has performed at UCB in Cagematch, Sketch Cram, Let's Do This!, The Mysterious Affair at Mr. Bendernagle's Luau, Not too Shabby, The 3 on 3 Tournament and Del Close Marathons 11 and 12.

     

 

About Julie Brister:
Julie Brister is a performer, director and a long time teacher at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre both in NYC and LA. As an actor, she has appeared on Rules of Engagement, Children’s Hospital, The Tonight Show, Reno 911, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Little Britain USA, Spike TV, MTV, FUSE, and she can be seen regularly as Lauralee Hickock on the Onion News Network show In the Know with Clifford Banes. Julie enjoyed a long run of her solo-show Fatparts at UCB and performed it as part of SF Sketchfest 2010, one of the country’s top comedy festivals. She’s directed numerous solo shows in both NYC and LA including Crush, Past Her Prime, and Collections. She has a BFA in Theatre from Southwestern University.

  About Bob Gale:

  Bob Gale is a Screenwriter-Producer-Director, best

  known as co-creator, co-writer and co-producer of

  "Back to the Future" and its sequels. He has written

  over 30 screenplays and his other film credits

  include "1941," "I Wanna Hold Your Hand," "Used

  Cars," and "Interstate 60," the latter which he

  directed. In addition to writing movies, Gale has

  written comic books including Spider-Man and Batman, and has also served

  as an Expert Witness in over a dozen plagiarism cases. He holds a BA in

  Cinema from USC.

 

  About Tom McNulty:

  Tom McNulty is the President of Production at

  Global Produce, a new production company housed

  at Universal Studios. Prior to his new venture, Tom

  produced and oversaw production on numerous

  projects at various studios, most notably

  "Neighborhood Watch" (in pre-production, starring

  Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill), "Night At

  The Museum," "Night At The Museum; Battle Of The Smithsonian," "Cheaper

  By The Dozen 2," "What Happens In Vegas," "The Rocker," and "Date

  Night."

  About Ron Koertge:

  Ron Koertge writes fiction for Young Adults and poetry

  for everybody. He won multiple ALA awards for YA fiction.

  He also received the P.E.N. prize for his book Stoner and

  Spaz, a N.E.A. fellowship for poetry, and his poetry has

  been included twice in The Best American Poetry. His

  latest YA is "Stoner and Spaz II" (Candlewick Press). His

  latest books of poetry are "Fever" (Red Hen Press) and "Indigo" (Red Hen Press).

 

  About Jessica Brody:

  In four short years , Jessica has sold five novels (two

  adult novels to St. Martin's Press and three young

  adult novels to Farrar, Straus, Giroux.) "The Fidelity

  Files," "Love Under Cover," and "The Karma Club,"

  Jessica's debut young adult novel released in April of

  2010 with her next YA release, "My Life Undecided"

  slated for June 2011.  She recently sold five more young adult titles to her publisher, Macmillan Children's Publishing Group. "52 Reasons to Hate My Father" (which was recently optioned for film) will be out in Spring 2012 and "Unremembered," (also optioned for film), the first book in a new sci-fi series, will be released in Fall 2012.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Smith College.

 

  About Derek Taylor Kent:

  Derek has a three book deal with Harper Collins for a

  series of comedic children’s novels entitled "Scary

  School," scheduled for release this June and in 2012

  and 2013. His other children’s book series, Rudy and

  The Beast, was recently optioned by renowned

  producer Colin Callendar. Derek also wrote the feature

  comedy script Cupids which is currently under option at Liberty Films. He wrote a musical-comedy called "King Kalimari: The Musical," which had a sold-out run in 2007 and garnered rave reviews and the short musical film "Rock Obama: The Barack Obama Musical" which was a hit at film festivals and is featured in a documentary about the Barack Obama campaign. Derek also recently wrapped shooting a comedic web pilot for Comedy Central premiering in February 2010. Derek has taught writing and drama throughout Los Angeles. He holds a BA in Writing and Theater from UCLA School and is a graduate of the writing program at Second City.
